I, scholar of the vetoed sect
Catalyst upon the stars to rend,
Bring the baleful gods wrath to thee
In repose of an altar defiled by greed
The son leaves his masters awe behind
Doors will unlock a new pantheon to find
The true lords of war, pestilence, excess, and time,
the anathema does not see the truth
Nine will become agents of doom,
Nine will forswear the fate that looms
Nine Archangels of a cosmic renaissance
Nine sons of the anathema become
Nine bretheren lords of cursed legions
Nine astartes, heathen, warriors
Nine blessed by their ruinous masters
Nine traitors, to a doomed imperium...
Father! Thou hast decived me!
Imperiator! The name of treachery!
Brothers! Heed my call!
Retribution! The kingdom must fall!
War! The galaxy in flames!
Pestilence! They shall know my name!
Excess! Cast aside thy shame!
Time! Upon these tides shall change!
So it is,
And So it shall be
A path laid out
Cursed choirs rally to me
Cosmic flux
The void spwan are birthed
What was once fogged by ambition
Now resplendant In radiant mirth
Nine will become agents of doom,
Nine will forswear the fate that looms
Nine Archangels of a cosmic renaissance
Nine sons of the anathema become...
A new crusade's time is nigh
Bring forth the malice, behold the eye
The many against the few
but All I ever wanted was the truth...

This album is superb, the mix of doom and black is great. BUT THE FIRST TRACK! literally one of the best songs I've ever heard. It captures the atmosphere of warhammer 40k like none other. Simply amazing Dimdagreek

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann

i checked out bands coming to my town, and xoth were on the list. at first i thought they were cheesy since i only liked metal to be deep, dark, and atmospheric .
i did enjoy the technical complexity, so i gave them another chance. i equated shredding with jockishness (ugh), but i now see it as a creative choice. i just had to approach it on my own terms, and xoth was the perfect gateway for this. they really opened up a new world for me. quasiotter
